Hernia MD, I am just interested in what would be the best method in case a recurrent hernia develops for my first surgery. I called my surgeon about my concerns as my surgery is next week. He has only done about 75 laparoscpic surgeries compared to the 5000 surgeries Dr. Goodyear has done at the NorthPenn Hernia Institution without no failures. I seem to sense an unbiased opinion that laparoscopic is the way to go even if the 75 do not compare with the 5000.
