It is my understanding that the smaller ones are more likely to strangulate because the organs are not able to move in and out of the tear freely. I suppose it could be to small for anything to move into it in the first place, though not sure about that.
I just know that my surgeon said mine was so large that strangulation was not a real problem because the organs could move in and out of it freely (sounds great huh LOL).
I'm sure if I'm inaccurate someone will say so. :)
