Just had lap surgery for bi-lateral inguinal hernias on 4-2. I have to say, any post-op pain has so far been very manageable. The worst part to this whole process was going home having not peed yet. Ended up in the ER that same evening to get the dreaded catheter. Having that put in and leaving it in for two days was the worst experience I have ever had. The discomfort/pain of that was ten times worst than any part of the surgery.
I just wanted to share my experience and say that anyone having surgery, just make sure you can pee before leaving the hospital. The results may be the same but at least it's not another visit to the ER later.
