Hi,
I am 9 days post op for my first open inguinal hernia surgery. They initially thought it was incisional from an old c-section, but when surgery began they discovered it was typical, so I think the incision is a bit bigger than it had to be.
Anyway, I am still having significant pain, but the incision looks good. I removed steri-strips yesterday (as per surgeon). However I have a significant bulge above the incision (below is fine). So when I look down all I can see is bulge and not the incision.
Is this normal swelling? If I touch it is is sore. It is a bit red, but I think that may be from the steri-strips? I am kind of worried, but I feel paranoid calling the Dr again....
Any help very much appreciated!!
