I had a bad fall, and right after my hernia's came flying down. I had the bilateral hernia's repaired, and when I got home I couod not put my weight on my legs for 4 days, I had this really heavy pain just above my penis. Now that I have been on anti-inflammatories for 9 months, I have this heavy (Like I have to hold onto my groin)sensation. I can feel this thing sliding up, amd down the middle of my groin, starting under my pubic bone,, and I can feel it slide past the base of my penis, which really smarts, then onward down, finally resting on my rectum(this hurts really badly). I am able to bend over, and get this off my rectum. My question is: How does one get a internal hernia diagnosed. What do you use for imaging? The bowel would be sitting on bowel, so it is not easy to see. It is just like I have a whole in my floor boards, and this snake like thing is sliding back, and forth. I am not able to hold it with a truss, and I loose control of my bowels when it touches my rectum. I have had it hang out the other end once, and I pushed it back in. From what I read this is a very rare hernia, and isn't diagnosed before the bowel gets obstructed. I am trying to avoid having this happen.Any information would be great.I have blood circulation problems at the same time, which I think must be the hernia sitting on a blood vessel?? Surgeons do not seem to know a lot about this type of hernia, I guess if you have never seen something, you can not believe it.
