What's your opinion on the shouldice method,I live 20 minutes from the shouldice hospital and I'm thinking of going there for an my right ingunal hernia. I've heard many great things about this hospital, almost everyone I know has gone their. I know it's not a tension free method as they use your tissues to repair the the hole.My friend had 2 ingunal hernias one done with the plug the other done at shouldice.He said the plug because of it being tension free was pretty painless and he was back to normal very fast.For his second hernia he decided to go to shouldice because of all the hype surrounding this place. After the surgery they kept him their for 4 days doing exercises and activites and he couldn't beleive how fast he recoverd from having a tension filled operation.
