I saw my surgeon. He did a sonogram to see what might be wrong. He didnt find any new hernia but he says that the mesh is higher above the area where the incision was made and that the area where my belly (I have a small belly)meets the lower abdomin may be making the mesh bend and he thinks the bending mesh may be stabbing a nerve causing the discomfort. He says that few options exist to fix this. One is to open me up and adjust the mesh (no way...) 2nd is to live with it. 3rd is steroid injections but he prefers not doing this for several more months. Have you heard of this and do you agree with the recommendation of the surgeon?
