To put matters into perspective, in Sep 2007, I went in for a bi-lateral lap, and whether the size of the hernia or a degree of excess weight, ended up with a double open as well as the lap incisions.
Recovered steadily, was working at my desk job from home after 6 days and office 13. Golf in 8 weeks and now continue as was, other than being reticent about carrying concrete paving stones, as that caused it in the first place.
