Today marks the one year aniversary of my
large left side hernia lap operation. It could of been a disaster but thanks to this information site, it was a breeze with very rapid recovery and no complications.
I've had no problems since but have remained
a participant on this board in hopes of helping others plow through all the options and misdirections sometimes provided by the
medical community.
The most important thing I learned by checking the site daily in the 6 months prior to surgery and during the past year is that, you as the patient, have to do your homework. If you wonder into hernia surgery
blindly the results can be unpleasant.
Hernia MD is a great information source, but
it's up to you to find your own qualified
doctor to be assured of the best surgery outcome.
