I had the inguinal hernia surgery 2 weeks ago. For about the first 1.5 weeks, the pain was tolerable and manageable with aspirin. However, this past weekend I've had a burning sensation on the inside of my calf around the groin area. It's worse when I have on slacks or jeans. When I went home from work Monday, I expected to see this area as being really raw, especially since the sensation is that of burning and irritation. However, it looked fine.
Yesterday, a good friend of mine said that it sounded like shingles. Since I've had shingles before, I knew what they felt like and while I know it's not shingles, I'm wondering if this is normal?
Any suggestions? Anything I can do for the pain and irritation?
Respectfully,
Rick
