Your hernias will not go away and typically get bigger over time. There are excellent treatment options at this point. If the hernias get too large, you will have more limited treatment options then. If you are using a truss, it is likely that these are symptomatic hernias and you should consider elective surgery now. The laparoscopic repair is an excellent choice for bilateral hernias and the recovery is rapid. Check out the American Hernia website or SAGES for lists of surgeons. I don't personally know any surgeons in San Diego.
