No easy way to say this - I had surgery 3.5 months ago to repair a inguinal hernia on the right side. Since the surgery my bowel movements have been broken up, not solid like they had always been previously. Prior to surgery, I routinely made one bowel movement per day, now it is several a day and it never seems easy to go. My diet has not changed at all from before the surgery. I also am feeling some discomfort/pain above the top of the scar, especially when I push on it, and I am concerned there is some sort of blockage in my intestines. The discomfort/pain sometimes can be felt on my entire right side below the ribs. Is it possible this situation was somehow caused, or is being caused by the hernia surgery? Scar tissue growth? etc?
