Your story is all too common and likely secondary to a bad procedure and bad mesh. There is hope. Many patients will improve over time and certain medications can help. Having said that, I am concerned about your high level of activity. If it is just an irritated stitch, then simple removal under local anesthesia can help. If it is a post hernia pain syndrome, more extensive work up and treatment should be considered. I know that you have seen two surgeons already, but it is time to consider an evaluation by a true hernia expert. and have imaging of your groin with CAT scan or MRI. Keep us updated.
