I have not had, nor has any doctor that I have visited (I have been to 5 Doctors now...) reccomended that I have a cat scan. obviously you feel this should be done before proceeding with another surgery. How should I go about having a cat scan done? The hernia specialist I visited did not say what method he planned to use in the replacement, though I was under the assumption that this would be an open procedure. The specialist did say the my doctor used a very stiff mesh that is used because of easy placement quite some time ago because it is prone to causing the kind of problems I am having. My next question is why is this "bad mesh" still being used?
