I had bilateral inguinal hernia repair a little over 2 yaers ago. The repair was done laproscopicaly. The surgery has left me with chronic pain in my right side groin area. since the surgery i have had cortisone injections, rf ablation and tried a perscription of neurontin. nothing has worked. I have consulted with another surgeon that is willing to remove the mesh and start over, he feels I have a 75% chance of recovering with no chronic pain. Do you feel this is accurate?
also he mentioned that there is a greater risk of losing a teste as a result of a second surgery, how great is that risk?
