Please do not submit your body to a plug and patch repair for your hernia, please have your doctor review all studies done by Dr. Parviz K. Amid he is the director of the Lichtenstein Hernia Institute at UCLA. I have a BARD plug and patch, the plug is designed to turn into a rock hard piece of wood inside your body, this rock hard plug will reside right next to your spermatic cord and cause you nothing but pain and trouble for months to come, if your lucky your odds will be 14 out of 15 to avoid another surgery. Please don't trust your doctor on this, contact UCLA and find out the truth. I have had nothing but pain for 7 months now with this damn perfix plug Bard made, this thing should be taken off the market and all doctors using this procedure should have their surgical permits pulled.
