3 days Post Op Laporo bilateral inguinal surgery (Scrotum Swelling/Bruising, Constipation)

I am a 23 year old male and I had my bilateral inguinal hernia surgery Monday and its now thursday. I have yet to make a bowel movement and have moderate swelling, tenderness, and bruising of my scrotum along the middle of the sack and on the bottom. Its giving me a hard time sitting down. These seem to be my biggest problems as of now and the actual abdominal pain is lessening and im walking a little better. But my question is are these things normal and how long do they take to go away? Ive been taking the percocets about twice a day, 2 of them, and also the prescribed stool softeners. I had my mother buy me some fiber supplements and will begin taking them in the morning. Should i be worried about all this scrotum swelling and bruising after 4 days? should I call the docs? any info in much appreciated. Rich Seattle, washington
