Well I had both an open px(perfix plug) and a TEP lap px in the last 6 months and kept a diary for both. My activity levels was almost identical for both pxs.
Started walking 40-60 minutes post-op day 1 for both pxs. Very very slowly.
Post Op Day #2 I worked a bit out of my home at my PC. I could sit at PC for an hour or two. Again I did this for both pxs.
Post op days 1-5 Both pxs - getting up and down from a chair, bed or bending caused discomfort and this improved considerably by day 4-5. Day 5 was the first day I could walk down the stairs normally instead of one step at a time. Day 4 or 5 was first day I had a normal appetite.
Day 6 - I returned to my desk job on day 6 for both pxs. I take the train to work and would not have wanted to do this any earlier. This mostly because I would not want to be standing up on the train and have had to brace for a sudden stop. I made sure I left at times I could get a seat.
Days 13-14 very light mixed run and jogging. Jogs were just above walking speed.
Day 19- I was doing full runs but at a reduced speed from my normal runs.
Day 32 - Starting running at my normal full speed after by TEP lap px and I did this day 35 after my open px.
