Hi guys...thanks for the response. I did go to see my surgeon and he looked at my stomach and immediately said that there was excessive gas trapped inside and told me to use a suppository in addition to the Colace that was prescribed. It is now Saturday morning which is 3 days since the surgery and I am able to walk, but only hunched over.
I have tried about 4 different things to get rid of the gas and the progress is very slow. I also haven't had a bowel movement since Tuesday so that probably isn't helping either. I just got up so I don't know how I'll feel, but I know what you mean about your butt hurting from being propped up all the time. I can't lie flat yet. Good luck on your progress!
