*Whoop! Whoop! Whoop!* Your strictures, Wolfman, speak to my very soul. There was more than enough political correctness in the original cartoon, depriving us of the legitimate pleasure of seeing some orc ARROW’D! by Hank or Bobby battering some bullywug into paste; if the cartoon were to be revived nowadays, there’s no doubt that Sheila or Diana would stumble into a story designed to highlight the dangers of Bogbeast-Made Realmic Warming, and dealing with the Anti- LizardmanLizardFOLK Defamation League.
Even more, though, your denunciation of anime kindles in me an unholy joy. I hated it back in the ’Seventies; I hate it now. Of course, I have to admit, the Western animation nowadays offers very little in the way of artistic competition. Oh, how painful for someone raised on Doug Wildey and Alex Toth to have lived into the era of Seth MacFarlane and Matthew Senreich!
