I spoke with Mr. Walsh himself and his daughter who was also quite helpfull about 7 years ago. It was funny - she mentioned that she grew up on the Muppet Babies set while her dad was composing music.
Anyway, this new news of the possible music coming out is definitely interesting! I know Mr. Walsh has been in legal battles for the last 8 years or more trying to get rights to publish his music. This is most likely the very reason that Disney had to use different music in their DVD sets. The thing that doesn't make sense though is that some music that was cut was used in other episodes. ??? And unfortunately I doubt 100% that any of Douglas' music will be on there. And a D&D music collection is NOT complete without it!
A huge note of interest and something that EVERYONE should know - recently released was the entire DVD set of The Real Ghostbusters. Did you know that some episodes have the option of just playing the music and sound effects? This makes me wonder if every cartoon ever made has the possibility of doing this when a company masters the DVDs. If so, more companies need to do this. Unfortunately the music in Ghostbusters isn't that great, but still cool that the option is there.
In order of personal interest the music I would love to see released would be:
1)Dungeons & Dragons
2)Thundercats
3)Transformers/GI Joe
4)JEM
5)Ninja Turtles (1987-1989)
Let's keep hoping!

: So I emailed that company and asked if whether or not Mr. Robert
: Walsh's soundtrack for the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon will
: be released on cd or in any other format. I also said I was
: asking not only for myself, but for all the fans of the show,
: who would love to have this music available to them.

: Robert Walsh emailed me back.
