Thanks, Rummi. I remember a lot of encouraging replies when I first posted it which was particularly heart-warming considering that, up until a very short time before that, I had pretty much thought I was the only person on the planet who remembered D&D the cartoon series and, moreover, who had remembered it as such a powerful source of ideas and inspiration.
It's one of the great things about the internet that, over the past ten years, I've started to take a little too much for granted, the way it can connect people with similar experiences and passions from all parts of the world and allow them to share ideas and creativity. I'm easily old enough to remember a time when you couldn't do this and I'm so glad I've been alive during the birth and growth of this technology and of online communities such as this one.
There's a lot of rubble out there but there's some gold, too, and this particular site has proved a rich seam of talent, ingenuity, humour and wisdom over the years such that I'll always be glad I found it.
Here's to the next ten years and to everyone here who has been so supportive and creative I say many thanks and long may we all continue to be so...

: Silent Coda! Neil, I had no idea that was yours! And I even
: remember the original posting. (Wow, was it almost 10 years
: ago?)
:
: I loved it then, and I still do, so I hope you'll accept a
: long-overdue compliment on your work. (Since I don't recall if
: I contacted you directly back then, or if I just posted my
: appreciation here on the board.) I loved the graphic novel
: style - it says so much with no words at all and, although it
: paints a rather dark outlook of the kids' lives as they grow up
: in the Realm, it is still brilliant and insightful.
