This is a cheap, pathetic grab for attention. No need to remind me of something I already have told myself, but sometimes you just have to accept the fact that you have to take the initiative. So here goes.
I updated my "Zeitgeist" story.
No, no. Hold your applause. No, really....its embarrassing. Oh, wait! That's SARCASTIC applause. Right. Gotcha.
Yep. After quite a stretch of time I've officially got the ball rolling again. Couple of reasons for the delay....
One, I'm not that prolific a writer to begin with. (We can't all be Sealgirl)
Two, after getting pretty far into my next few chapters I discovered I had to do a MAJOR rewrite and totally gut what I had already written. Major drag.
Three, I sort of told myself that if I DID post any updates on the story, Kimmy of Darkhaven would get first dibs at posting it, considering I discovered D&DC fiction (or at least the real good stuff) on her website. Unfortunately, she had a spell of inactivity, so then so did I.
But after a while I've finally put some new stuff up. This was after a friend of mine read my story, got to the end of what I wrote and asked "Are they dead?" He thought I was trying to have some sort of poignant ending or something. What? Do I look like David Chase to you?! Well, NO! They're NOT dead! I'm just not done with the story. Did get me to thinking maybe some of the readers thought the same way (Like all FIVE of you...seriously, THREE reviews? Has anybody read this thing?)
Anyway, so here's a heads up that its up there on FF.net. Mind you, the chapter is a short one. I got more warming up in the bullpen, but I'm still holding out that work for Kimmy's website if and when she gets Darkhaven up and running again. Though I guess if anybody wants me to email the rest for their personal enjoyment that would be cool.
