I have been seeing a podiatrist for plantar phasitis(?). Orthotics have helped but the pain in the bone in my arch is extremely tender to touch and now the pain radiates up to my ankle bone. I forgot what he called it but he said it was a partial tendon tear. We tried a cast for 2 1/2 weeks but it broke down on me and the pain started back even with the cast on. Now we are trying a soft cast which I can't imagine will work. I've tried looking up things online to find the name and the only thing that might be close is posterior tendion rupture. Anyone give any advice on how to get rid of the pain? Or what they might have done?
