I was dignosed with Plantaar Fasciitis November 2003. I had been hurting since 06/2003. I tried everything, ice, night splints, cortisone shots, physical therapy, etc.... I had the Ossatron Shockwave Treatment (Non-invasive surgery) on both feet in June, 2004. The left foot has completly recovered. The right foot which was in the worst shape still has a way to go but is much much improved from before and hopefully will continue to improve. I go back to my doctor next week. I found that ice was the most effective treatment other than the Ossatron.
: Hi I am 18 and have suffered on and off
: with this condition for about a year
: and a half. I started to see symptoms
: in June 2003 when running. I was
: unable to walk for without limpinng
: for about a week but eventually the
: pain went away and I was able to be
: normal again but could no longer run
: without the pain flaring up again.
: In March of 2004 the pain flared up
: again and went to podiartist who
: prescribe orthodics. Helped until
: July 2004. Walk barefoot and with
: wrong shoes too often. Did not
: understand my condition very well so
: I ended up aggrivating it.
: Have tried stetchiing which seemed to
: make things worse. Cortisone shot did
: not help. I have dull ache sometimes
: when sitting, worsens with walking
: and standing. Cortisone shot has not
: helped. I have a shooting pain
: sometimes when I walk to much. The
: only thing that has helped much is I
: did not walk more than ten minutes a
: day four days which then enabled me
: to walk again because before that I
: could not walk hardly ten steps
: without severe pain. Night splint
: gave me pain in the arch when I wore
: it. Taping helps a little but no
: great amount. Definitely Plantar
: Fasciitis as have been diagnoesed so
: by two doctors. Is there anything
: else I can do?
