Has anyone heard of, or experienced, stress fractures as a result of orthotripsy? My wife had the procedure done on both feet in March. She felt a little better after the first three or four days, then said she had a different felling and pain than before. The podiatrist told her the standard 'give it 12 weeks or so before the results really show'. She did and it didn't get any better. After several more trips to him he threw up his hands and said he didn't know what more he could do for her. She then went to an orthopedic specialist who examined her and immediately ordered a bone scan thinking it could be stress fractures. Sure enough - both feet. Coincidence? She has now been in an air cast on the worst of the two for 6 weeks and is now being told that didn't do enough so she has to be completely off her foot for another 4 weeks and then they will take a look at the other foot. What a mess!! Just wondered if anyone else had any similar experiences.
