: Hello, In February 2002 I had
: debreavement in my archilles and I
: had a small tear, I fell the day
: after surgery while trying to use
: crutches, it hurt so bad and
: never let up hurting in Novenber
: 2002 I had a tendon transfer. I
: thought fantastic NO MORE PAIN
: until a month ago that old familar
: swelling and pain getting worse
: and worse. I go back to the
: surgeon he casts it for 6 weeks
: only i cannot keep the cast on
: due to sweeling and pain. At the
: end of 6 weeks he is to do another
: MRI maybe with the possibility of
: surgery again. This sickens me at
: the thought. it is not the surgery
: but the recouping from the
: surgery. It is tough. Has anyone
: experienced this or has advice
: for me?
:
HELLO! MY DAD JUST HAD HIS SECOND SURGURY, SUFFERING MUCH LIKE YOURS. THREE WEEKS IN RECOVERY THIS TIME AND SO MUCH IS DIFFERENT. HE HAD A TEAR THAT SOUNDED LIKE YOURS AND THIS TIME WHEN THEY WENT IN TO LOOK, THEY ENDED UP CUTTING OFF OLD SCAR TISSUE AND SEWING THE TENDONS TOGETHER TO MAKE ONE STRONG ONE INSTEAD OF TWO WEAK ONES. SOUNDS ROUGH, AND IT WAS. THE THERAPY TJIS TIME STARTED THE DAY AFTER SURGURY AND HAS NOT STOPPED. THIS DOCTOR THINGS ALL THE SITTING AND NOT USING THE LEG AT DIDN'T DO ANYTHING BUT STIFFEN AND HARDEN THE TENDON CAUSING SCAR TISSUE TO FORM. GOOD LUCK! KRISSIE
