Sounds like you could have bruised the area. How long has it been? You could have a stress fracture. You could have plantar fascitis as most people here have. It is caused by an injury or excessive wear and tear. Typically the pain is worse in the morning, then gets better with movement then returns with too much standing etc. I have had it for over a year and as a result developed a bone spur. The PF is very very painful and I finally got to the podiatrist and got an injection of cortisone - it has helped and I hope it keeps working. Of course they all say to stretch and ice and take advil etc - did that for ayear!
Anyway, you should see a foot doctor because if you do have PF you could develop a bone spur if you let it go for too long.
