: Hi Elaine,
: I have the same problem as you,
: though much less severe. It
: started about 8 months ago. I
: tried wearing a custom orthotic (I
: have flat feet), but to no avail.
: My podiatrist gave me
: anti-inflammatory pills, which
: relieved half the pain for about a
: month, then their effect started
: to fade.
: I have heard that shockwave /
: ultrasound treatment and
: physiotherapy may help. When all
: fail, a cortisone needle shot
: right into the heel may be the
: last measure.
: I am also open to all suggestions on
: how to cure plantar faciatis
: without undergoing surgery or
: getting a needle shot.

: I would like hear from people who
: have
: chronic plantar faciitis. I have
: had this condition for a year. I
: have tried everything. I unable
: to work. I am now going to see a
: neurologist. Should I go to an
: orthopaeic doctor. This condition
: is makeing walking almost
: unbearable. Any information would
: be greatly appreciated.
: Thanks
: : glad to here from someone with the
: same problem as myself. I am now
: seeking to have the shock wave
: treatment and have just been
: evaluated for it. I have an
: appeal into my insurance company
: to pay for this treatment. They
: are reluctant to do so. It is the
: only thing I beleive with help me.
: I have exhausted all other
: avenues. I have had the shots
: and even a nerve block to relieve
: the pain. All are only a
: temporary solution. I have tried
: eveything. From nights splints to
: a cask, Pt, steroid treatment. All
: the doctors that have evaluated me
: situation, agree this is the way
: for me to go. I will keep you
: posted. Thanks again. If you
: hear of any other treatment that
: has helped, please let me know.
