Has anyone tried Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization Therapy(A.S.T.M.)for plantar fasciitis? I recently had it done after four months of chronic heel pain and it works! I am pain-free. It is fairly new and is done via physical therapy with a physician's order. The therapist uses specially designed tools to "scrape" along the tendons, etc. of the calf, ankle, heel and foot, to break up the scar tissue and chronic inflammation that has developed. It then allows new healthy tissue to grow. A rather primitive concept, but effective.
