Bob, If you sincerely want to sit down and move in a direction of unity instead of division at the Rim there's a whole lot of folks ready for that to take place. We both know the truth about what occurred regarding the major changes to launch that you intended and how the Forest Service became involved. I'm not going to address that further or address your opinions. I'm the first to admit I don't do well addressing those who are less than forthright in their account of what is going on at the Rim. However, I'm willing to move beyond that for the benefit of the future of the site. You are welcome to follow this link http://www.hatcreek.info/Club_Information.htm and see those 'real Hat Creek pilots' who participated in the voluntary site protocol and who voluntarily contributed to the operational cost of the site in 2011 (scroll down the page). Hat Creek Rim is an all volunteer effort that's been working for 3+ decades. We answer to the Forest Service, the USHPA (for the required site insurance) and feedback from the flying community. It may not be perfect system or please everyone all the time, but we do feel it is fair and responsible - BTW - If you submit a detailed 'site development request form', showing the full scope of the work you would like to do (we don't need or want credit for something you guys do) the committee will process that request, give our honest opinions, and forward it to the Forest Service.
