I was not going to reply again but you seem to be having a conversation with yourself about something different than I am talking about. and your last post ignored my advice and observations that you requested. You first accuse me of slinging shots again (not quite sure what they were) and then immediately move on to how great your club is and how great the HCR site is and that it is that way "only" because of the SSS and the HCC Then you move on to the pride your club has for keeping the flying community informed on your website which quite frankly nowadays is totally confusing with a lot of information about Methods in Madness, USHPA directives etc.etc.. Then after having originally requested my input you totally discount it as "choosing to see things the way I want" and point out that you the permanent four have already put it all on your website including a "directive" telling me to wear a helmet and be a USHPA member. Yikes again!!! You have been the one claiming cheap shots and criticism yet you come up with the above statement!!! (a personal attack) Laughably or sadly your last paragraph repeats this again <<"Like I've said before, we are open to working with any group that earnestly wants to work together to resolve any issues at the site">> And like I have said before If you REALLY REALLY want to work with any group at all then implement DEMOCRATIC REFORMS to your club by-laws and let ALL pilots have their say. Is that a group you can work with??? You might want to read up about democracy as this statement shows a lack of understanding <<"BTW, there is not a single flying site around that polls every person who flies there before making a decision - not even close">> In a democracy the constituents (pilots) elect their representatives (HCC) and then they make the decisions. They do not have to poll every individual constituent for every decision taken. The cool thing in a democracy is that if the MAJORITY of constituents (pilots) have issue with the way an elected committee conducts itself or does not like their decisions the MAJORITY can elect new new committee members. That is how a democracy works Phil. The final sentence in your reply after totally IGNORING my requests for democracy and fair representation you say <<"The focus should always be about what is best for the site and the users there. I think the actions of our club over the last 3-plus decades shows a clear and continued ability and commitment to do that.">> If the focus is really really about the site and the users and you really really believe that the permanent four of you know what is best for ALL users then continue ignoring me and my "attitude" and continue dictating your (the permanent four) personal wishes as you have over the last decade and continue with the status quo. I think that the actions of your club over the last decade have shown a clear and continued ability and commitment at self destruction. SUMMARY Phil ignores the answer to his request "What will make it happen" Phil answers my call for democracy with a bunch of statements about how good and great their club is and puts me in the class of a "Vandal" with a poor attitude Phil claims he is willing to work with ANY group but refuses to go democratic and all inclusive. The permanent four have for a decade or so been in total and absolute control of the HCC and it looks like they will continue into the future dictating to pilots their personal style of dictatorship. The harmony supposedly sought here is out of my personal grasp and solidly in the hands of the HCC Good luck with that guys Roger
