What an outstanding story, very inspirational, almost makes me want to dust off the wing and go flying again. Of course, I want to use the story on the web site if you dont mind. Im glad you discovered the bounty of lift the back ridge offers, too bad others dont take advantage of the full potential of the site. Let others know of your experience and encourage qualified pilots to fly back there. As far as the final clearing the #3 LZ (which should have been done long ago but we didnt have the money), that will be done this spring, probably by Hat Creek Construction Company. The helmet sticker fund will be paying for this and additional cover for the dusty front launch. You could still do something for the site, however (something thats much easier than clearing an LZ by hand), let visiting pilots know about the stickers we sell, theyre cheap and the revenue really helps the site. Glad to hear youre still out there hanging ten and enjoying all the hang gliding the area offers. I reminisce about the good old days often.
