Posted by Jim Harmon This is my line (though some of the data is incorrect). My line includes Elliott Madison Harmon (b.3/3/1850, Adair Co. Ky) who was the son of Clayton Harmon (b. Jan 15, 1824, Adair Co. Ky) who was the son of William Harmon (b. in the 1880.s in Va). The Harmon family originally settled in New Kent Co. Va. between 1622-1635 then some family members established a second settlement in Brunswick Co., Va between 1750-1790. Ultimately the Brunswick group emigrated into North Carolina around 1800 then on to Adair Co. Ky. by 1806. I have some information on the Adair Co. group--George Harmon and wife Nancy (Bethshires) Harmon were head of household on the 1810 Census, but the family group included three Harmon men (Isaac, John and William) were already over 21 at that time. --Previous Message--
