I've set up a special email address just for HGS info (at harmongen@austin.rr.com), which I'll be checking at least daily (probably more like every half hour or so). Here are my current thoughts: - Upgrade the forum to one of the much better forums which are now available. This will include better threading of posts (to make reading a line of posts easier), and HOPEFULLY a better Search feature to allow you to find posts on a given topic. Unfortunately, I won't be able to move the posts in this forum over (I'll just have a link to this forum for a while as it's being phased out). - Update the Harmon Genealogy Collection survey to allow me to better auto-process responses, and then actually get the data posted. I'll also be updating it to not include data for living persons, since that seems to be the general etiquette (sorry, I hadn't thought of that when I first started this project). I'll probably still collect this data from people who are willing to provide it, but only so the information is in the HGS database (I'm looking at the far-future of this project, when all of us currently contributing will be gone). - Add a "Learning Resources" section to the site, with information on how to gather genealogy info. I have to admit that most of my genealogy info was handed to me (through the efforts of a great aunt with an interest in the DAR), so I'll need help developing this section. However, I am an instructional designer by trade, so I should be able to make this a very useful section. - More Branches, hopefully with searches both within branches and across branhces (for people who aren't sure where to begin). These will be added slowly, as I either get gedcom files from others or enter the info myself. - Within a month or two I'll hopefully be able to register a domain (so the url will be something like harmongen.com, depending on what's available). If you'd like to help out with this (it costs something like $15/year--nothing major, but any help would be appreciated, and I could register multiple domains to make remembering the name easier if I get some help), please let me know.

I'm currently working on a massive site update, to make it easier for us to share information (and because the current site looks extremely dated).
- Redesign the site for a cleaner look and easier-to-find information.
