I am a Harmon from Co.Carlow,Ireland(living in Toronto Canada)my dad,granddad and great granddad were all from Co.Kildare I have traced the Harmons back to the Normans(invaders of France,England and Ireland,hence Normandy in northern France)they were a section of
Vikings most likely from Norway,they invaded Ireland in 1100 AD The Harmons were Kings in Co.Offaly around that time,one of whom I researched was King Michael Harmon.Hope this will give you something to go on.
P.S. I Still have a big family in Mageney,Co.Kildare,Ireland(My Mom,Dad,6 Brothers,2 Sisters,nieces,nephews,cousins etc).
