Hi Jessup,
Maybe I'm going back a little to far but,as a Harmon myself I have done some research on the Harmon name and here's a short version:The Harmon name is originally a scandinavian name most likely
Norwegian ,they were a section of vikings
know as Normans, they settled in northern
France (hence,Normandy),they later invaded England and then Ireland in 1100 AD.I was
born in Ireland and can trace my family
back to King Michael Harmon(Norman invader)of Co.Offaly,Ireland.I know a lot
of Harmons emigrated to the U.S.A. From Ireland beginning in the early 1700s via
Ellis Island New York and Quebec Canada.
I have lots more on a Michael Harmon ,went to the U.S.A. in the mid 1800s ,had a very
big family,I'll try to find that when I have some time.Hope this was helpful.
Yours truly,
Michael Harmon.
