: My great grandfather’s name is Jack
: Harmon, b. 1884. Jack’s death
: certificate lists his parents as Gib
: Harmon and Georgia Jayco. They were
: married in Pontotoc County, MS. I
: have come across information on a
: Gilbert Harmon (nicknamed Gib)
: married to Georgia Jayco in Pontotoc
: County. According to this
: information, Gilbert Harmon was the
: son of Stephen Harmon and Margaret
: Burks. Gib and Georgia's marriage
: was listed as 1883, one year before
: Jack’s birth. So this tied in
: nicely. Unfortunately Jack has an
: older brother Ed Allice, b. 1880,
: three years before the marriage.
: Ed’s death certificate also lists
: his parents as Gib Harmon and
: Georgia Jayco. Plus the information
: I found on Gibb and Georgia, does
: not include Jack or Ed in the list
: of Children. I find it hard to
: believe that there were 2 sets of
: Gib Harmon’s and Georgia Jayco’s
: married in Pontotoc in the 1880’s.
: Any information you have is
: appreciated. Thanks.
