LOOKING FOR YOUTH GROUP ADVISORS
Congregation Bnai Tzedek, a conservative synagogue in Potomac, MD is looking for dynamic, engaging Jewish adults to work as advisors for our four Youth Groups (grades 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, and 9-12) for the 2009-2010 academic year. Each position is part time and requires some weekend and evening work. The role of the advisor includes:
• Creating, coordinating and implementing exciting, age appropriate programs for the youth.
• Working with the Director of Congregational Programming to determine the appropriate scheduling of activities in conjunction with the synagogue and Youth Department calendar
• Design publicity material for events which can include but not limited to: flyers, post cards, emails, facebook, phone calls, texting. Actively recruit both members and non members for events.
• Make all arrangements for any supplies, transportation, reservations, extra chaperones, etc
• Complete a summary/review following the event
• Assist in the planning and staffing of Parents’ Night Out (January 30, 2010)
• Attend periodic B’nai Tzedek Youth Committee meetings as necessary
• Advisors for Kadima (6th-8th grades) and USY (9th-12th grades) will also attend and chaperone regional events.
