People have been doing the "666" guessing game for centuries. The only real problem is that the "666" referred to in the book of Revelation applies ONLY to Nero Caesar - and that was nearly 2000 years ago! All of the book of Revelation was fulfilled at the fall of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. except for the "New Jerusalem", that is, the Church which will last forever. How do we know that all of the Revelation is fulfulled? The two "bookends" of the Revelation - Rev. chapter 1 & 22. Chapter 1:1, "The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to whew unto his servants THINGS THAT MUST SHORTLY COME TO PASS...", verse 3 "...for THE TIME IS AT HAND". The last chapter of the book ends with this in verse 6, "...the Lord God of his holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants THE THINGS WHICH MUST SHORTLY BE DONE", verse 7, "Behold, I COME QUICKLY...", verse 10, "...SEAL NOT the sayings of the prophecy of this book: FOR THE TIME IS AT HAND", verse 12, "And, behold, I COME QUICKLY...", and verse 20, "...Surely, I COME QUICKLY...".
