We really are on our own. No manager - no agency - no record company
What we do have is a recording studio - but we have to pay for the engineer, and we have a good one...he's co producing it with us. We also have Steve Bartek and his son Christopher helping us out with sound and mixing.
Our stuff is pretty complex...lots of attention to detail.
Funny thing is I'm involved in another album of Neil Young and Young Rascals cover songs that is being recorded in the same studio with the same engineer and we knock out the songs in little time....really it's the mixing that is most time consuming these days....ProTools is amazing but it gives the engineers too much autonomy. I miss the good ole days of going in without a click track or automation and laying down direct to tape...which can still be done but they've complicated that too by going direct to tape then direct to digital and you're right back to where we are today.
Thank you for your support!
I've been reading about the new album here and there, I'm very excited about it. I've seen that SAC gofundme still gets donations here and there, I'm hopeful that perhaps soon it'll successfully reach the right amount to release it. For me, as a younger fan who one day decided to listen to SAC and got hooked on the tunes playing the role of being a wonderful soundtrack in life is something I appreciate each time I hear them. The sheer love I have to this music, message board and interacting with The Original Members of the group is just unlimited. I love chatting here, listening to many stories about SAC and I truly hope that everyone is doing well out here!
