He appreciated his success and knew full well how delicate life is.
Well put George...unlike most of us, Frog met Ed way back when he went by Cal....hope Sharon and the doggies are holding up okay.
Before going in for surgery last month, remember him saying that if he didn't make it out alive to not be sad, since he (paraphrasing here) was at peace with mortality and had led a pretty kick-ass life.
Rock on, Ed. Will miss your wicked sense of humor.
Frog, I know this is extremely difficult for you as it is for all of us, but more so for you.
Lee Freeman and Ed King were part of your childhood basically. It's a kin to Steve Bartek and I going back to 1963. Living next door to each other and writing those songs that would end up being on the first Strawberry Alarm Clock album.
I'm both stunned and saddened but I am feeling more for Ed's wife Sharon Brock King right now. I can't imagine the pain.
Ah, but life goes on and on it goes.....
So sorry for your loss Frog! Dad (Larry) and I both are so sad to hear about Ed, he was the greatest
It is with great sadness I have heard my oldest friend Ed King has passed. I have known Ed since Hoover High School 1964 and we have stayed in touch ,I will miss him very much he was truly one of a kind and I am proud to have been his friend. https://www.facebook.com/ed.king.52687…
