Was fortunate enough to catch Daryl sitting in with The Chocolate Watchband at the Whisky a year or two back, a once in a lifetime collab.
By the way, are there any GLASS recordings floating around?

: Matt,
: Unfotrunately, I wasn't able to see SAC as I
: had planned. I have met George Bunnell a
: number of times in the last several years
: & he has told me the SAC show at
: Melodyland with The Seeds was one of his
: favorite gigs.
: You may be interested to know that Daryl
: Hooper has started a new Seeds band. They
: have been playing in Northern Calif. Hoping
: they head south to a venue near home.

: Hi Carl,
:
: If the Bogies show(s) were anything like the
: Whisky gig the day before, you were in for a
: real treat. That one was a marathon 2+ hour
: show.
:
: Thanks again for snail mailing a copy of the
: Melodyland advert awhile ago. Pretty
: amazing that the only Seeds show circulating
: is the one you happened to play at. Sounds
: like the taper originally recorded the
: opening act Evergreen Blueshoes (with Skip
: Battin just before joining The Byrds), then
: taped over most of their set with The Seeds.
:
: You might recall this number popping up from
: time to time on the Melodyland audience
: recording:
:
:
:
:
:
: Strawberry Alarm Clock played their entire
: 2nd album at the show, it's a shame that
: wasn't preserved for the ages too. Several
: of those songs are now being performed live
: for the first time since '68, possibly since
: Melodyland Theatre.

: George,
: My wife, Esther, was with me at the
: Seeds/SAC show at Melodyland in 1968.
: Hoping to make your gig at Bogies on July
: 23.
