Those 2 other acts you mention Rob were the ones I'd hoped to catch....especially The Fish's supergroup with drummer Roy Blumenfeld from the great Blues Project....saw Cubensis some years back, but somehow don't recall them covering Dead tunes?!
The Venice Beach audience were especially receptive to the Clock's unique musical stylings. Real diverse crowd, just like the last Whisky show. Highlight for me was the WAKE UP IT'S TOMORROW trifecta:
Pretty Song
Sitting On A Star (yes!!!!!) w/GB bass solo
Black Butter
Not to take way from the new material, some of which had to be trimmed (due to delays in starting & an early curfew). There were constant technical difficulties, which can be aggravating as a performer, but adds to the whole one-of-a-kind experience which is live music.

: Strawberry Alarm clock is scheduled to perform
: from 6pm to 7:30pm as the headlining band
: closing the show. If you can get there
: earlier it's worth catching Barry Melton's
: band at 3:20pm. He played lead guitar in
: "Country Joe and the Fish" and his
: band includes Peter Albin and David Aguilar
: of "Big Brother and the Holding
: Company". If you like the Grateful
: Dead, then it's worth getting there by 1pm
: to see Cubensis, an excellent Dead tribute
: band. ...and allow time to find parking.
