I was watching a rather captivating program about Jimi Hendrix on PBS's wonderful "American Masters" series.Every time I see one of the network's exciting '60's documentaries,I am always deeply engrossed in the socio-politico expressions of not only the musical artists, but also the decidedly countercultural fan base. Some say that the music was merely reflection of the times while others claim the music actually changed the world. From what I can tell, the attitudes and messages contained within the tunes may have affected youthful minds so deep in matters of perspective, some of these youths may have maintained these idioms in their minds all the way to elected public office or maybe all the way to teaching positions where they may have passed on these radical ideas to the next generation therefore quite possibly affected the course of human events.Do you think music actually CHANGED the world. Also,I saw I couple of old concert posters promoting shows with you and the masterful Mr. Mr. Hendrix. It's mind blowing enough watching him in old films.I imagine it was an absolutely earth shattering moment to watch him live,as you previously told me it was when you saw John Entwistle weave his bass magic....
