Sure you can't make the Love Ride this year your buddy is playing again.
Love Ride 26 is happy to annouce we will have Dwight Yoakam performing...more acts to come...
Dear Volunteers and Fellow Love Riders,
Love Ride 26 and California Bike Week are only one month out! We’re very excited about the ambitious line-up of entertainment we have in store this year for all our Love Ride and CBW supporters.
First up, we have signed country music star Dwight Yoakam to play the Love Ride stage on Sunday October 25th. Dwight’s star has brightened even more since he played back at Love Ride 10. He now has 12 gold albums, 9 platinum or multi-platinum albums to his credit, including the triple platinum “This Time”. Five of Dwight’s albums have topped Billboard’s Country Albums chart, with another fourteen landing in the Top 10. More than 30 singles have charted, with twenty-two going top 20, including the incomparable hits “Honky Tonk Man,” “Please Please Baby,” “Little Ways,” “I Sang Dixie,” “It Only Hurts When I Cry,” “Fast as You” and “Thousand Miles from Nowhere.” He’s won two Grammys and has earned a staggering 21 nominations.
We’re in the process of signing even more great talent to grace the Love Ride stage. This will be announced soon.
For those who have volunteered or rode in past Love Rides, I don’t have to tell you how much fun it is. Riding up Brand Blvd. on a sunny Sunday morning with thousands of other bikers is something everyone should experience. The Love Ride is a great way to raise money for those less fortunate in the community, while getting to spend a day with friends and family.
As with all Love Rides, there’s a lot of value for the money. This year we have three great bands in the morning at Glendale Harley, even before we ride out to Pomona! Once there, we have world class entertainment, vendors showing off the latest motorcycle gear and then the Love Ride main stage acts entertaining us all afternoon. After the concerts we’re also showing a high-def screening of the biker classic, “Easy Rider”, to mark the movie’s 40th anniversary.
We would also like to emphasize that we will have plenty of beverages available without having to wait in long grueling lines like you experienced last year. This is our promise to you!
So come out, help out and please show your support for the most ambitious three days of motorcycle mania ever put on in the State of California. For the latest information, registration and tickets; go to www.loveride.org or www.californiabikeweek.com.
I look forward to seeing you in October!
Sincerely,
Oliver Shokouh, Founder and Chairman
Love Ride Foundation
