: Has the new album already came out yet (sorry
: if I've just missed it or can't find it)? If
: so where is it? I would have preferred to
: hear all new songs rather that remakes (the
: same band reddoing their same song is for
: those $3 Kmart Cds). It would be great if
: other artists like Roger McGuinn and Steve
: Miller kept progressing and moving on like
: the Stones or Oasis instead of just settling
: for their couple of hits.

Yes, I concur, Cory. My love for the Byrds (McGuinn's old band), like SAC, goes back to the 60's. I used to belong to the Byrds International Fan Club in the late 60's-early 70's. In the last several years I've been able to e-mail many alumni and other parties connected to the Byrds. Roger told me that he intends to play solo for the rest of his life--though he continues to delve the Byrds canon in his concert programs. McGuinn says that he still gets asked about every three days when he will reform the group. David Crosby (who owns the Byrds' name) has always been incensed, because Roger isn't interested in performing with him, although he has played with many other artists in other venues. When David got out of jail back in the 80's one Richard Wozniak of Apple Computer fame offered the original five Byrds $5,000,000.00 to play for a few hours and Roger refused because he thought it unethical for some reason.
