ebertfest was an enabler....and kind of a detour from what we wee doing....
in late 2006 mark steve randy howie and i started rehearsing as a 5 piece band...and as a new sac....no lee gene ed jimmy greg gary or paul.
the idea was to have a band that could get together each week and write and record new material as well as re-learn and record some of the old material....
we wanted to revisit the old stuff with steve's input.
then came btvotd's offer...so i called ed, paul, lee and gene....to have the btvotd band there.
we wanted lee to be a part of everything but he was going through all the medical problems and unable to travel....but he did make the trip...barely able to stand up....ed was not supposed to be travelling either...that trip took alot out of him...he said it was brutal...paul was as pro as you cand be, but his roots are in country and that wasn't the direction we were headed...gene stayed on because he wanted to and we had a ball with two drummers.
we did talk to greg about going to ebertfest but he declined.
there was no reason to include jimmy as it wasn't supposed to be a reunion of everyone who was ever in the band....and gary...well...you know.
we do want our website to celebrate the entire picture and have bios and a history with links to all....but the main focus will be the current lineup and new albums and tours, etc.

: I'd be interested in taking over the site,
: fixing it up and making it what it could be.
: However, the site wouldn't be dedicated to
: only the "new" SAC that's touring
: it would span from Thee Sixpence through
: late 1971. I'd have a page to click over
: and for the "touring" SAC, but it
: wouldn't be a strictly 1967 SAC page.
: There's ALOT of interest in the BTVOTD SAC
: stuff as shown in the interview with Mark on
: the top of this message board. The Jimmy
: Pitman and Paul Marshall stuff are important
: parts of the SAC history + a bunch of GREAT
: music was recorded by the band in 1969-1971.
: The BTVOTD Ebertfest concert kinda got the
: whole reunion/touring/new album thing
: started in the first place, didn't
: it....?....

: there is NO webmaster....and we're
: web-challenged....there is a guy that wants
: to re-do the website....make it more
: psychedellic and have more interaction,
: etrade, songs, clips, updates, links, etc.
: we've all been busy with recording and
: taking vacations and other personal matters
: to get to the web completion....but, you're
: right!

: You'd think the band or webmaster would have
: something on their website about the LP
: being re-released and link to
: pre-order/order.

: how much was the shipping?
:
: my initial thoughts on this are - everyone
: should order from sundazed so they can make
: more $$$. i imagine they have to offer it to
: amazon at a steep discount. the more money
: they make - the more interested they will be
: in releasing WUIT and rarities. and cd's.
: (i'd prefer hi-res dvd audio, myself.)
:
: No?
:
: G1

: I ordered 3 (1 for me & 1 for each of my
: son's)from Sundazed the first day they
: became available. Shipping for all 3 was
: the same as for 1.

: Just got mail from Amazon telling me the
: album
: is now ready to pre-order:
:
:
:
:
:
: Sales Ranking is #19,225 - this is actually
: VERY high for a vinyl lp! Wrong song
: samples tho.
:
: FYI, Sundazed charges by weight and IIRC,
: their shipping ain't cheap. Amazon usually
: ships free w/$25+ orders.
:
: Peace & Lovetro,
: Matt
