UNI singles anthology = great idea! Lotsa interesting releases. Seems right up Rev-Ola's alley. Universal were notorious for being hard to deal with in the past (and wanted way too much $$ for licensing), which is why I was so surprised to see Peppermint Trolley Company get the digital treatment.
SAC single mixes definitely differ from their album counterparts. "Tomorrow" is a completely different, earlier recording. Certain intruments on "Guru" & "Baltimore" may have been re-recorded. "Baltimore" has a longer fadeout. The mono "Miss Attraction" has a very different feel to it (no left-to-right panning).
I'm willing to bet there's some unreleased SAC lying around gathering dust... alternate takes of familiar tunes, at the very least. It just seems no one at these large record companies has any initiative to scour the vaults for an artist who isn't going to sell a zillion copies. Would be great to hear unreleased material from Fever Tree, Orange Colored Sky, Rainy Daze etc etc.
