Locomotive colors:Waht are yours? Posted by Larry Lewis Jr on July 1, 2009, 4:41 pm 71.13.81.X I was just curious what are some color schemes of locomotives evveryone on here has of their locomotives. For my Leelanau County Railway its CB&Q chinese red with black lettering for engines and cabooses and Chessie yellow with red lettering for passenger cars. for the connecting Leelanau Transit Company its GN big sky blue with white lettering for engines and cabooses and pullman green for passenger cars.  Post a Response

Posted by Johnathan Edwards on July 2, 2009, 12:24 pm, in reply to "Locomotive colors:Waht are yours?" 75.48.220.X My Grande Valley Ry locos are either Conrail blue and CSX yellow (old scheme) or burgandy and light grey.Lettering on the blue and yellow units is either white or yellow and on the grey and burgandy it is white. The blue and yellow goes back to early 1979 and is the first official colour scheme of the GVR which was born in November of 1978.  Post a Response
